Starting Solids: Let Baby Lead the Way

New parents are SO often intimidated by the idea of giving their baby solid foods for the first time. It might seem like you just got the hang of breastfeeding or bottle feeding with milk, and then you have to learn something new!

This is a 2 hour class that will help you start feeding your baby nutritious foods with confidence!

You will be introduced to the concept of Baby-Led Weaning as an approach for babies who are starting to eat solid foods. Some aspects of Baby-Led Weaning include:

  • making sure your baby is ready for solid foods
  • letting your baby explore new tastes and textures
  • offering your baby whole foods in solid form instead of purees
  • bringing your baby to the table and sharing meals together as a family

In this workshop, we will also discuss ideal first foods, recipes, and how to prepare foods that are nutritionally beneficial to your baby. Getting a great start now can mean an easier future feeding your children nutritious foods.
